Why should I switch to a UV Lash System?

Switching to a UV Lash System can dramatically improve both the speed and consistency of your lash appointments. Because the adhesive cures on demand with UV light, artists can eliminate stickies, work more efficiently, and reduce appointment times by an average of 30 minutes.

Unlike traditional lash adhesives, UV systems are not souly dependent on room humidity or temperature, resulting in more predictable performance and reliable retention throughout the year.

UV curing also shortens the fume exposure window, creating a more comfortable experience for both the artist and the client. The result is a faster, cleaner, and more consistent lashing process with dependable curing in every season.

Can you use the PLA Soft Cure UV Eyelash Extension Light with other UV lash glues?

PLA Fuse Soft Cure UV Eyelash Extension Adhesive needs a UV light with a wavelength output between 380-420 nm.
The Soft Cure UV Eyelash Extension Light has a wavelength output ranging from 400nm - 410nm.

We recommend that you check if your glue is compatible with our UV light wavelength, and similarly, check if your light works with the output required by Fuse adhesive.

Why is the PLA UV light white instead of blue light?

PLA's UV light utilizes a specialized phosphor coating that converts a portion of the violet light into additional visible wavelengths. When these wavelengths combine, the light appears white to the human eye rather than the deep blue-violet color commonly associated with UV systems. All testing and safety results for the PLA UV Light were conducted with this phosphor coating in place.

The result is a more comfortable experience for both lash artists and clients. White light is generally easier on the eyes during extended use, helping reduce visual strain for lash artists while creating a more pleasant and less intimidating experience for clients during their appointments.

How close should the PLA UV Light be to the client's face?

For optimal performance and safety, we recommend positioning the UV light at least 20 cm (200 mm or 8 inches) above your client's face. This working distance allows the system to cure adhesive effectively while maintaining the conditions used during product testing.

The light should be angled downward toward the lash line rather than shining directly into the client's eyes. Because every setup is different, you may need to adjust the lamp position based on factors such as bed height, reclined seating, neck positioning, or other client adjustments. The PLA UV Light also features an adjustable aperture, allowing you to control the diameter of the light beam and direct the light precisely where it is needed.

As a best practice, always maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm (8 inches) and position the light so it targets the lash application area while minimizing direct eye exposure.

Faster Curing, Fume-Free Application With UV Lash Adhesive

Traditional lash adhesive can be affected by room temperature, humidity levels and seasonal changes. UV lash glue offers a different approach by curing when exposed to UV light, rather than relying completely on environmental conditions.

Benefits of UV lash glue include:

  • Cures on demand to help eliminate stickies
  • Curing not dependent on humidity and temperature
  • More predictable adhesive performance
  • Shorter fume window for sensitive clients
  • No bonder or mister required
  • Faster application workflow
  • Consistent curing throughout the year

While UV lash systems offer advantages over traditional curing methods, not all UV lash glue systems are created equal. Unlike traditional blue or purple UV lights, the PLA Soft Cure UV Adhesive system takes this technology a step further with a white curing light system.

Tips on Using Our UV Lash Glue in Your Salon

For best results, always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using UV lash glue and curing equipment.

Here are a few other rules you should follow:

  • Clients eyes’ must be fully closed before every use.
  • Position the lamp over the lashes, ever angled toward the open eye or sclera.
  • Do not stare into the lamp during curing.
  • Follow recommended cure times - more is not better.

Proper training and technique are essential when incorporating any UV lash adhesive system into your services. Following recommended safety protocols helps ensure a comfortable experience for both you and your clients.
